Adam Noah Levine who is known as the front man and guitarist for the pop rock band Maroon 5. He is an American singer-songwriter and musician and a coach on the American talent show The Voice.

Levine was born March 18, 1979 in Los Angeles to Fred and Patsy Levine. At sixteen, he made the winning shot of his local Jewish Community center championship basketball game with no time left on the clock. That incident has changed his life and gave him the confidence to be successful.

During Levine’s teenage years, he was medically diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Last 2011, he launched an educational campaign to raise awareness of ADHD, titled “Own It”.

Levine, whose brother is openly gay, is an outspoken supporter of LGBT rights. During the year 2011, he made a video on Maroon 5’s official you tube account in order to support the It Gets Better Project. In January 2012, he announced that Maroon 5 had changed the location of their post-grammy Awards show because of the “unnamed” Los Angeles restaurants backing of Propositions.

He attended French woods festival of the Performing arts Camp with his best buddy Jessie Carmichael, who was a member of the band known as Kara’s flower as a guitar player.

The band Kara’s flowers originated when as high school seniors having met at Brentwood School in Los Angeles, where they released their first album entitled The Fourth World in 1997. At the same year, the band also appeared on an episode of Beverly Hills 90210. The album The Fourth World showed a little success as well as its only single Soap Disco had failed commercially. Being disappointed with the results of their album, they all went separately.

Levine and Carmichael left Los Angeles for New York. These two Los Angeles natives were exposed to a completely different scene for the first time, recognizing as a cultural awakening for them. Last 2002 in an MTV News, Levine stated “That’s when I started waking up to the whole hip hop, R&B thing. We had friends named shit. It was not Brentwood High.”

Throughout this time, Levine worked a two-week stint as a waiter at Johnny Rockets. After dropping out of Five Towns College, Levine and Jesse reunited, with Mickey and Ryan, but added former Square guitarist, James Valentine in 2001. Having the band Maroon 5 being renamed, Levine and his friends began to compile all of their newfound musical influences into their music. While he was working as a writer’s assistant on the television show “Judging Amy”, he spent time writing the lyrics about his ex-girlfriend, Jane. Those lyrics became the album Songs About Jane.

Levine’s other works has collaborated with a variety of musical acts. He was featured on the Ying Yang Twins song “ Live Again” in 2005. He also appeared on “Late Registration album of Kanye West, on the third single, “Heard ‘Em Say”. He was then featured in the song “Wild Horses” on Alicia Keys’ third album Alicia Keys: MTV Unplugged. Over the next year, Levine co-wrote the track “Say it Again” on Natasha Bedingfield’s album N.B. and has performed the background vocals of the song. He has also offered his vocals on the Gym Class Heroes song, “Stereo Hearts.”
